leaders of Farmers, Traders, Hawkers, Transporters, Consumers,
Self employed groups, trade union, cooperative and other sectors
of retail trade in India, it has been decided that a nationwide
campaign participated by all retail stakeholders is to be kicked
off from New Delhi on 1st January, 2013.
More than 100 leaders of different sectors are expected to join

The proposed two month long movement is to
be culminated with a massive rally at Ramlila Ground in the month of
March. Final date of the rally at Ramilla ground is to be announced on
1st January, 2013, said a release issued by officials of Confederation
of All India Traders (CAIT).
During this two month long campaign programme, protest rallies including
Sankalp Yatra, Chaupal Charcha, Dharna, Demonstrations, Torch Procession
and other democratic forms of protest are to be held in different states
of the Country. While social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook
are to be used optimally to make the movement effective, a different
kind of protest through a series of Cartoons is, also, to be carried out
all over the Country. The leaders of different retail stakeholders are
to tour extensively across the Country during the two month campaign
period, said Praveen Khandelwal, Secretary General of CAIT.
Strongly criticising the reported statement of Union Minister of State,
Sachin Pilot, for advocating the need of making lobbying legal in India,
Praveen Khandelwal said, such a statement of the Government and its
Ministers reflect their acute partisan attitude for the welfare of the
corporate sector and they are least bothered about the life and
livelihood of crores of people of India. |
